1. Introduction
Zilverix sells 925 sterling silver jewellery, including silver jewellery with gold-plated, rose-gold-plated, oxidized, and rhodium-plated finishes. Our products are selected with care and come with proper packaging, authenticity card/certificate, and a polishing cloth where applicable.
Jewellery is delicate by nature. Its shine, finish, polish, plating, and appearance depend on usage, storage, skin type, environment, and care.
This Jewellery Care & Product Disclaimer explains how customers should use and care for Zilverix jewellery and what is not covered by our product responsibility.
2. About 925 Sterling Silver
925 sterling silver contains 92.5% silver and other metals used to improve strength and durability.
Sterling silver is a precious metal, but it can naturally oxidize or tarnish over time due to exposure to air, moisture, sweat, chemicals, perfume, pollution, and storage conditions.
Tarnish is a natural reaction of silver and does not always mean the product is fake or defective.
With proper care and cleaning, silver jewellery can maintain its shine for a long time.
3. Product Finishes
Zilverix may sell jewellery in the following finishes:
Plain 925 sterling silver.
Rhodium-plated silver.
Gold-plated silver.
Rose-gold-plated silver.
Oxidized silver.
Each finish has its own care requirements.
Plating and surface finishes may fade, dull, or change over time depending on usage and exposure to external elements.
4. No Anti-Tarnish Warranty
Zilverix does not provide an anti-tarnish warranty.
We use careful sourcing and provide jewellery with long-lasting shine when used and stored properly. However, tarnish, oxidation, fading, dullness, or plating wear may happen naturally over time.
We may use phrases such as “long-lasting shine with proper care” or “anti-tarnish finish with care instructions,” but this should not be understood as a lifetime anti-tarnish guarantee or warranty.
5. What Can Affect Jewellery Shine and Finish
Your jewellery may lose shine, tarnish, fade, or get damaged due to:
Water exposure.
Perfume.
Sweat.
Body lotion.
Hair spray.
Makeup.
Chemicals.
Soap and detergent.
Sanitizer.
Chlorine.
Salt water.
Swimming pool water.
Excess humidity.
Rough usage.
Scratches and friction.

Sleeping while wearing jewellery.
Gym or sports activity while wearing jewellery.
Skin pH and body chemistry.
These factors are outside the control of Zilverix and are not considered manufacturing defects.
6. Jewellery Care Instructions
To protect your Zilverix jewellery:
Keep it away from water, perfume, sweat, and chemicals.
Wear jewellery after applying perfume, makeup, lotion, or hair products.
Remove jewellery before bathing, swimming, exercising, sleeping, or cleaning.
Wipe jewellery gently after use with the polishing cloth provided.
Store jewellery in the jewellery box or pouch provided.
Keep each piece separately to avoid scratches.
Avoid pulling, bending, dropping, or applying force to delicate designs.
Keep jewellery away from children and pets.
Do not use harsh cleaners unless specifically recommended.
7. Care for Plated Jewellery
Gold-plated and rose-gold-plated silver jewellery needs extra care.
Plating may fade over time depending on wear and exposure. To extend plating life:
Avoid daily water exposure.
Avoid perfume and sweat contact.
Avoid rubbing against hard surfaces.
Store separately in a soft pouch.
Clean gently with a soft dry cloth only.
Do not use harsh polishing agents on plated jewellery.
Plating wear is not considered a manufacturing defect.
8. Care for Oxidized Jewellery
Oxidized silver jewellery has a darkened finish by design.
Over-polishing or harsh cleaning may remove the oxidized effect. Customers should clean oxidized jewellery gently and avoid chemical cleaners unless suitable for oxidized silver.
Natural changes in oxidized finish may happen with use.
9. Care for Rhodium-Plated Jewellery
Rhodium plating gives silver jewellery a bright, polished look and can help delay tarnish. However, rhodium plating may wear over time with usage.
Avoid rough surfaces, chemicals, perfume, sweat, and moisture to maintain the finish for longer.

By purchasing from Zilverix, customers understand that jewellery requires proper care and that natural tarnish, oxidation, plating wear, and usage-related damage are not manufacturing defects.
